Iowa Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor Seal Requirements
Each licensee shall procure a seal with which to identify all engineering and land surveying documents issued by the licensee for use in Iowa as provided in Iowa Code section 542B.16. A legible rubber stamp or other facsimile of the seal may be used.
The seal shall include: the name of the licensee, the Iowa license number, the word "Iowa" and the words "Professional Engineer" or "Land Surveyor" or "Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor," as appropriate. The word "Licensed may be added but is not required on the seal. The word "Professional" may be added but it is not required on the land surveyor seal. Neither the word "Registrant" nor "Registered" shall be used on the seal.
Iowa Architect Seal Requirements
An architect shall procure a seal with which to identify all technical submissions issued by the architect for use in Iowa as provided by Iowa Code section 544A.28. A legible rubber stamp, electronic image or other facsimile of the seal may be used. The diameter of the outside of the circle shall be approximately 1 3/4 inches. The seal shall include the name of the registered architect and the words "Registered Architect". The Iowa registration number and the word "Iowa" shall be included
Iowa Landscape Architect Seal Requirements
Every professional landscape architect shall have a seal, approved by the board, which shall contain the name of the landscape architect and the words "Professional Landscape Architect, State of Iowa", and such other words or figures as the board may deem necessary.
