Notary Seal Requirements: Pennsylvania
The State of Pennsylvania requires each notary public to use a rectangular rubber stamp as their official notary seal, although an embosser may be used in addition, but not in place of, the rubber stamp notary seal. The stamp should be no more than 1" x 3 1/2" with a plain border.
The notary stamp must contain (in order) the words "Notarial Seal", the name of the notary public, the words "Notary Public", the name of the municipality (not the political sub-division) and the county in which the notary maintains an office and the date the notary's comission expires.
The Secretary of States recommends placing the words "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania" outside the border at the top of the stamp.
