Notary Seal Requirements: Rhode Island
The State of Rhode Island does not require the use of an ink stamp or embossing seal but the Office of Secretary of State says it is generally prudent for a Notary Public to do so.
If a stamp or seal is used, it should contain the notary's name as it appears on the commission and the phrases "Notary Public" and "Rhode Island".
No seal manufacturer has permission from the Secretary of State to reproduce the State Seal of the State of Rhode Island as an element of a notary public seal.
