Notary Seal Requirements: Washington
The State of Washington allows each notary public the use of either an inked rubber stamp or an engraved embossing seal that is photographically reproducable as their official notary seal. The print on the seal must be in a type not smaller than eight point type. The stamp or seal must be a minimum of 1 5/8" diameter if round or 1" x 1 5/8" if rectangular.
To be legally recognized, the notary seal must contain the words "Notary Public", "State of Washington", the Notary's name (surname and at least the initials of the first and middle names), and the Notary's appointment expiration date.
Reproduction of the Washington state seal with the notary stamp or embosser is prohibited.
